Description
Participants enter the space, a facade of an old bus emerges in the trees, couches, chairs, and chill space outside among the wash-LED up-lit trees. The space is cozy, and music is heard from inside the bus, not enough to interrupt the conversations and connections happening outside. Characters in animal and other phantasmal mixed creatures, real and imagined, invite you into the space. Invite for a seat outside in the cozy lounge with antique furniture on top of the chill viewing deck among the branches above on the rooftop, or inside for a swirl on the fusion partner dance floor.
As you enter the bus, music is playing, not blasting, and the space is dimly lit, filled with a decor of natural, whimsical, and found materials. A bar hangs from the wall, with characters and creatures clowning and engaging the space from behind it. The inside space is connected, tight, soft, and cozy, designed to be a partner dance space.

Thematic Story Play in Space:
The creatures caretaking the space will be spreading murmurs, images, tales of the humans. Rumors of their mythology, story, imagined, prophesied. What it could mean for our world, our existence, our Animism. How the human ceremony is different than those of the natural world. The impending overtaking of spirit by progress. The relationships of symbiotics are being replaced by that of husbandry and farming. Adaptation invaded by domination. The human’s cosmos: Centered, and our’s, Relational, without center. What does their rise mean for our mythology of Animism? What does it mean for our Relation-centered world to be invaded, and infiltrated, by the human’s relationship of exploitation, use, facility, progress, manifest, and change? Will it be our values against theirs? Will some or all of our world’s creatures step into their mystics? By choice? Coercion? Violence? Who will adapt to who? Or can a cosmos of Symbiotcs and Domination coexist?

The images below exhibit the infrastructure, lighting, and ascetic of our usual outdoor festival installations similar to the one described. The bus pictured is the same bus intended to be used for the event. The top deck will be a chill space, not a dance space. The main dance space will be inside the bus so not to have too much sound bleed into other spaces, but we also have a large ridged foam dance floor for outside space dancing in non-sleeping time periods. Placement site depending.
